ASUS says it has sold over a million of its diminutive Eee gadgets since launching about five months ago. The mini laptop's mobility and price has created a new category that is neither ultra-mobile nor UMPC and competitors are already launching their own versions of the Eee in an effort to meet demand for cheap, highly mobile computing devices.

Toshiba has released new notebook computers for the Australian market and is targeting both the business and consumer sectors with better looks on the outside and better specs on the inside. A range of 16 consumer and eight business models will be released in April and throughout May, 2007 in what the company calls an "unprecedented release".

Telstra will hit the kill switch on its doomed CDMA network tonight starting midnight tonight, starting in the Eastern states and progressing across the country following the time zones. Any calls which start before midnight and are still in progress will be terminated at 1am.
