Worldwide mobile phone shipments continue to impress posting nearly 10% gains for the first quarter 2005 YOY. The results showed a seasonal decline of 12.6% from Q2004 reaching a total of 174.3 million units for the first calendar quarter.

Yahoo! and Nokia have announced an agreement that will connect existing and future Nokia smartphone users to access a wide range of Yahoo! internet services. Services will include ring tones, wallpapers and games for the mass market, but will also include e-mail and Yahoo! Search for Mobile which could tempt the business community.
