HP has strengthened its business notebook portfolio with the introduction of two new notebook series, the HP Compaq 6710 series and HP Compaq 6910p. The new laptops are the first on the Australian market to deliver the new Intel Centrino Pro Mobile technology, according to the vendor.

Australians have an expanded choice of HSDPA-capable handsets with the addition of the Motorola MOTO Q 9h Smartphone on the Vodafone network. Announced back in May, the new Moto Q runs the latest Windows Mobile 6 operating system and offers a QWERTY keyboard and email in an 11.8mm package.

The iPhone isn't the only new kid on the block sporting a new-look motion sensitive touch screen interface. The HTC Touch Windows Mobile 6.0 smartphone was unveiled in Australia this week and while phone enthusiasts downunder will have to wait an indeterminate time to get their hands on one of Apple's new handheld device they can walk into any Officeworks or Optus dealer with $699 in their hand next week and get the Touch. Without waiting in line.

Toshiba is releasing a deluge of 15.4-inch Qosmio laptops. Just last week it introduced the new form factor detailing the specifications for the F45-AV412. This week it turns out the company has three more models to add to the range. The Qosmio F45-AV410, Qosmio F45-AV411 and Qosmio-AV413 flesh out the series at the low end.
