Telstra CEO Sol Trujillo has outlined a 3G speed roadmap at the GSMA
Mobile World Congress in Barcelona that will see the company delivering
data rates of 42Mbps by the end of next year. That's after reaching
speeds that outstrip most wireline ADSL services this year.

Telstra has added the HTC Touch Dual 850 to the list of phones provided
for subscribers to the Next G network. The smartphone is HSDPA ready
and features TouchFLO which adds iPhone-like touchscreen navigation to
the Windows Mobile-based device.

Telstra has confirmed that its current incentives for customers
migrating from its CDMA network to the new 3G network will end on the
28th of January despite the Federal Government moves forcing it to keep
the network running a further three months.
