Lenovo Ultraportable Has SSD Standard Print E-mail

The new ThinkPad ultraportable from Lenovo has a starting weight as low as 1.3 kilos (2.9 pounds) and is less than 2cm thick at its thinnest point, but what sets it apart from other small form factor notebooks is that it doesn't come with a hard disk drive, well not a traditional one anyway. The new Lenovo X300 comes with a SSD (Solid State Disc) drive using Flash memory rather than the traditional spinning disk storage found in most computer equipment today.

Toshiba is releasing a deluge of 15.4-inch Qosmio laptops. Just last week it introduced the new form factor detailing the specifications for the F45-AV412. This week it turns out the company has three more models to add to the range. The Qosmio F45-AV410, Qosmio F45-AV411 and Qosmio-AV413 flesh out the series at the low end.

Toshiba has announced more notebooks driving High Definition DVD optical drives deeper into its range. The Satellite P205 range announced this week have sophisticated, Metallic Blue lids encasing a mid-range desktop replacement machine that will make more than the most demanding power users happy.
