Page 1 of 2 Toshiba is releasing a deluge of 15.4-inch Qosmio laptops.
Just last week it introduced the new form factor detailing the
specifications for the F45-AV412. This week it turns out the company
has three more models to add to the range. The Qosmio F45-AV410, Qosmio F45-AV411 and Qosmio-AV413 flesh out the series at the low end.
While
the F45-AV412 featured a high-end T7100 Core 2 Duo central processing
unit from Intel, these new lower priced notebooks all from CPUs in the
T5000 range. This means they operate just a little slower than the
processor in the AV412.
Another big difference? Well, oddly these entertainment oriented notebooks only have standard definition DVD drive compared
to the AV412 which features Toshiba's HG DVD. This brings the price
down considerably and means you can get the glitz and glamour of a
Qosmio for much less than you would pay for the high def version with
the powerful processor.
As Toshiba says in the announcement: "These three new Qosmio F45 configurations are designed to give more
consumers the opportunity to enjoy the premium quality that the Qosmio
brand reflects".
You still get a DVD SuperMulti drive with the Labelflash
laser-etch labeling technology and like the other Qosmio these three
notebooks incorporate Dolby Home Theater technology and the Harman
Kardon speaker system - two Bass Reflex stereo speakers and a built-in
subwoofer.
You
also get the look ... piano-key white glossy finish on the inside,
Cosmic Black on the outside and a contrasting silver volume control
knob. you also get the Qosmio AV Controller.
To
enhance the overall multimedia experience on the Qosmio F45, Toshiba
incorporated 1024MB of Intel Turbo Memory Technology. This new
flash-based storage technology from Intel
reduces the time it takes the Qosmio F45 to boot, launch movies, run
multimedia applications and games as well as return from hibernation
mode.
Additionally, the Qosmio F45 lineup
incorporates the draft 802.11n wireless protocol, which delivers
transfer speeds up to five times faster than the previous 802.11g
standard. This new wireless protocol makes it possible for users to
download large files, such as movies and television shows in a fraction
of the time, while providing greater security, faster Internet
browsing, and a richer wireless Internet experience.
