The local subsidiary of Brightpoint has announced an extended Outsourced Logistics Services agreement with
Vodafone Australia that will see Brightpoint provide Vodafone's
Handset Fulfillment and Logistic Services.
The services encompass inventory
handling, pick pack, warehousing and distribution, retail and end-user
fulfillment, along with returns management services. This partnership allows Brightpoint to distribute Vodafone's
entire range of Pre-paid and Vodafone ‘Live' products.
"Brightpoint and Vodafone have shared a successful relationship over
the past four years. We look forward to further streamlining our
operational offerings and providing a full range of customised
logistic services as Vodafone continue to grow their subscriber base
in the Australian market," said Felix Wong, Managing Director,
Brightpoint Australia. "Our skill-set and expertise in the wireless
logistics space provides a compelling value proposition to Vodafone
Australia and their customers."
"The re-appointment of Brightpoint is a continuation of Vodafone's
commitment to the ongoing presence in the Australian market" said
Prasad Gokhale, Head of Devices for Vodafone Australia.
"Brightpoint
has been our logistics handling partner since 2002 and as our business
has grown Brightpoint has been able to continue to provide the
services that our expanding channels have demanded. To outsource was a
decision that we did not take lightly, and the dividends have paid off
for both organisations as we've grown to become partners with the
customer at the core of our strategies," continued Prasad. "We enjoy a
close working relationship with Brightpoint who continue to meet new
challenges and opportunities."
