Dell Australia Adds BigPond Data |

Dell has begun offering BigPond Wireless Broadband as an option for its
integrated mobile broadband on 13 notebook models - including systems
designed for consumers, gamers and digital content creators. The data
plans start from $34.95 per month.
In a vote for Telstra's 3G network, Dell says the move is in direct
response to customer feedback: "Dell is known for giving customers the
ability the tailor what's inside their notebook - we've recently given
consumers the ability to choose the colour as well. That flexibility
extends to being able to use your Dell notebook online in more places
too," said Jeff Morris, client computing strategist for Dell.
"Our
build-to-order capability gives us the flexibility to do this at our
factory and deliver to each customer a bespoke system tailored just the
way they want. We've worked closely with BigPond to make the wireless
broadband experience simple, easy to buy and to use," Morris said.
BigPond
Group Managing Director, Justin Milne, said simplicity, coverage and
speed - as well as access to BigPond's award winning content and
services - made it a great option for Dell customers.
BigPond joins Vodafone on the list of pre-configured providers.

The following Dell models come pre-configured to choose BigPond wireless broadband
- Latitude D830, ATG 630, D630 and D430 for corporate and public sector customers;
- Precision M4300 mobile workstation for digital content creators and animators;
- Inspiron 1420, 1520 and 1720 for consumers;
- Vostro 1400 and 1500 for small and medium businesses
- XPS M1730, built for gamers and new M1530 and M1330 designed for tech enthusiasts.
