Motorola, has released a Bluetooth Adapter for the iPod to allow music fans to enjoy wireless Bluetooth headphones like the MOTOROKR S9 Bluetooth stereo headset. Previously the company only offered the Motorola S705 Soundpilot bundle which includes a dongle with wired earplugs. The new adapter, the D650 allows you to listen to music stored on your iPod completely free from wires by adding stereo Bluetooth capabilities to the iPod which will team up with the ultralight S9 Bluetooth headset. "We are thrilled to offer this innovative new product - the Motorola Bluetooth Adapter for iPod D650, which allows users the opportunity to now listen to their iPod tunes wirelessly and on the move when paired with stereo headphones. The D650 can also be paired with Motorola car kits, enabling the iPod experience to be extended into the car, which is ideal for those who travel" said John Demezieres, Business Manager, Companion Products, Motorola Australia. The D650 is powered directly from your iPod, so you don't have carrying around or charge lots of accessories. The iPod then wirelessly connects to compatible Bluetooth enabled stereo headphones such as the MOTOROKR S9 headphones which is dead easy with Motorola's EasyPair technology that simplifies the connection and confirms it with a clear indicator light. The D650 is also compatible with a range of Motorola products  and with any brand of Bluetooth enabled stereo headphone. You can pair the D650 with Motorola‘s S805 Bluetooth DJ headphones or Motorola Bluetooth Stereo Gateway DC800 for home entertainment, or use with the Motorola T505 or T605 Car Kits to listen to iPod tunes over the stereo in your car. The D650 is still available in a bundle with the Motorola S705 Soundpilot. This bundle is available exclusively through Dick Smith Electronics, Dick Smith PowerHouse and Tandy for RRP A$199.
