Telstra has added the HTC Touch Dual 850 to the list of phones provided
for subscribers to the Next G network. The smartphone is HSDPA ready
and features TouchFLO which adds iPhone-like touchscreen navigation to
the Windows Mobile-based device.
The HTC Touch Dual 850 is one of the most highly specified devices on
the Next G network, and is the newest and most powerful member of the
HTC Touch family to hit AUstralian carriers.
The device was announced last year. You can check out some photos and specifications here.
The stylish slide design delivers high speed wireless 3.5G HSDPA connectivity
to make the most of today's high speed networks and services.
"The HTC Touch Dual 850 will enable Telstra customers to really get the
most out of the Next G network," said John Featherstone, Managing
Director, HTC Australia and New Zealand.
"The Touch Dual 850 is built
for speed and efficiency, letting users get what they want when they
want it. Combined with the power of Telstra's Next G network, it gives
users a complete solution to their mobile needs," he said.
The
Live HTC Home screen features a time and weather display, quick
launcher, and one-touch ringtone settings. The HTC Touch Dual 850 is a Windows Mobile 6 device and has Direct Push
Outlook email. A 2.0
megapixel camera with auto focus is housed in this slim handset for
shooting photos and videos, with a second camera for video calls.
The HTC Touch Dual 850 is available now through all Telstra Shops and
selected retailers on the Next G network. The HTC Touch Dual 850 has a
recommended retail price of A$929 (inc GST) and is also available on a
Telstra post paid A$80 plan.
