Nokia has announced its 9300 and 9500 phones now come with Blackberry Connect capabilities.

Thanks to a cooperative partnership, Nokia’s 9300 smartphone and 9500 Communicator are now enabled with BlackBerry Connect in the Australian market.

The Research In Motion (RIM) equipped handsets will be available from late August and will work with either the BlackBerry Enterprise Server or BlackBerry Internet Service.

“Adding BlackBerry connectivity to Nokia’s high-end enterprise devices increases customer choice,” said Brad Reed, Marketing Manager, Nokia Enterprise Solutions. “The growth in demand for mobility solutions has substantially expanded over the last year, driven by the fact that over a quarter of the Australian workforce is now mobile.”

“BlackBerry Connect will allow users of the Nokia 9300 smartphone and Nokia 9500 Communicator to take advantage of advanced, push-based BlackBerry features and services and allow IT Managers to leverage their existing investments in the BlackBerry wireless platform and security architecture while supporting additional devices,” said Mark Guibert, Vice President, Corporate Marketing at Research In Motion.
