Samsung has released a mobile handset targeted squarely at the ‘girly’ market with the release of its pink E530.

The Samsung E530 has a sub-menu in the applications section called ‘Women’s Life’. As you would expect to find, there are all sorts of things for the ladies in there – everything from the things you might like to know (such as the fragrance that best suits your personality) to things you’d prefer to forget (like your percentage body fat).
Here’s a sample of what to expect:
Fragrance type: Are you lovable and soft? Then the sweet, fruity scent is for you.
Biorhythm: Find out the status of your physical, emotional and intellectual being on a daily or monthly basis. It even predicts how you’ll look and feel tomorrow!
Height/weight ratio: Simply plug in your height and weight to find out how you rate…if you dare.
Calories: Now that the Atkins is out, keep count of your calorie intake with this tracker.
Pink Schedule: This phone will even keep track of your cycle, telling you when it’s the best time to conceive…or when to avoid it.
Shopping list: Let your phone keep record of what you need to buy, how many you need and how much it’ll cost… but you will have to actually do the shopping yourself!
On the more traditional side the mega pixel camera with flash has a 4 x digital zoom and an on-board storage capacity of 88.5MB which can be used for MP3s or to take advantage of the phone’s one hour of video recording capability. Phone video never got this good you can narrate your mobile movie before you send it to your girly friends.
Jenny Goodridge, Marketing Manager, Samsung Mobile said: “Women represent 50% of the market and we recognised a big gap in mobiles created specifically for women. The Samsung E530 is the ultimate fashion accessory - It’s the phone setting trends, not following them. The sophisticated and stylish pink design is fun and lets you show off your real personality, as well as providing some fun insights into the female psyche.
“However don’t be fooled by its attractive exterior. The Samsung E530 has all the high quality features you’d expect in a premium Samsung mobile – high resolution mega pixel camera, video and voice recording, large memory storage and MP3 music player,” she said.
Other features include a full hour worth of voice recording; Personal Organiser; Bluetooth for Voice & Data, USB, MMS, SyncML and Email Client and an appropriate number of girly friend contacts the E530 holds no less than 1,000 phonebook entries.
All these features haven’t weighed down, the E530 is only 85 grams.
