3 Australia Reaches 1 Million 3G Milestone |

Australia’s first 3G provider, Hutchison’s 3, has announced it now has more than one million 3G customers.
Kevin Russell, Chief Executive Officer said, “One million customers is more than just a number. For 3 it represents scale, credibility and a platform for changing the way people in Australia use their mobiles.”
Since launching Australia’s first 3G mobile network in April 2003, 3 has led the market, and was the first to bring new services such as live Video Calling, mobile broadband, live Mobile TV, full length audio and video music tracks and other entertainment and information services.
“Our focus remains to deliver our customers the most innovative and exciting content via their mobile phones. With the awareness of the 3 brand and service offering being raised, and our customer base increasing, we are well placed to continue our leadership in Australia’s 3G market,” said Russell.
3 is Australia’s largest and most established 3G network, bringing over a million customers live Video Calling, high-speed email, mobile broadband, live Mobile TV, full length audio and video music tracks and other great entertainment and information services in 3’s Broadband Zones.
The company said that more than 60% of its customers are regular users of the advanced 3G content services which include Music, Sports, Mobile TV from CNN, MTV and Cartoon Network.
