Samsung Electronics has announced it plans to launch TV Phones in Germany in time for the World Cup next month.
Using the terrestrial Digital Multimedia Broadcasting (DMB) standard the phones will be available through Debitel, Europe's first commercial DMB-based mobile TV service.
The Samsung SGH-P900 phones will allow avid Soccer (sorry football) fans to watch World Cup matches on the 124 gram phone. The T-DMB service will be available in Berlin, Cologne, Munich, Stuttgart and Frankfurt, although ultimately it will be rolled out to other German cities.
