A new PC application, RingtoneStudio 2, frees you from download costs and hassles by making it easy to create your own.

You can record and edit you own ringtones and add as many as you like to your phone for just $29.95 with this new software from German software developer S.A.D.

The software, which the company says is already a hit in Europe, is now available in Australia thanks to software importer/publisher Manaccom.

The program gives you complete creative control for making ringtones from start to finish and will import any WAV, MP3 file and supports SMAF/MMF ringtone formats as well.

You can record your own voice or sound and turn it into a ringtone easily with this software and then upload it to your phone via Bluetooth, Infrared, WAP or with your data cable.

The software provides three different Realtone formats which will work with most popular phones from Nokia, Motorola, Sony Ericsson, Samsung and more.

Purchasing ringtones direct to your mobile phone can often lead to problems, as Manaccom's Director of Publishing, James Mackay explains.

"It can get expensive buying individual ringtones and often you will end up paying for it before you've been able to listen to it or know if it will be supported by your phone. RingtoneStudio 2 lets you create an unlimited number of ringtones and you get to choose the way you transmit it to you phone," he says.

The software should be available from most major retailers and PC stores.
