Mobilised is watching an increasing trend to adopt
merchandising techniques in the laptop market. It started with Acer's Ferrari
laptop and continues to pick up pace.
For those readers who lusted after the Superman laptop
we featured on mobilised recently, here's Lenovo's take on merchandising the
notebook computer using themed decals.
The Chinese manufacturer plans to release a
Coca Cola 2008 Olympics laptop in support of the up-coming 2008 Olympic Games
(which in case you've been in a coma will be held in Beijing the year after next).
The F20 will be resplendent in Coke red apparel and will
feature the official (?) Olympics symbol on the top.
The device itself is a 12.1-inch widescreen laptop powered
by an Intel Pentium M 778 processor running at 1.66MHz.
Likely to only be of interest in China where it will be released,
the laptop is priced around US$1700.
Other specs reportedly include;
- Intel M778 processor, 1.66GHz
- Intel 915GMS chipset with GMA900
display chip

100Mbps ethernet port
