Nokia Tries To Stop Chinese Copies |

Nokia in China
has filed a civil lawsuit against two phone manufacturers and two distributors which
it claims are violating the design
of its 7260 mobile phone.
Nokia claims the industrial design of its 7260 is proprietary
and legally protected and that two of the named defendants have illegally copied
the design.
Shenzhen Telsda Mobile Communication Industry Developing Co.
Ltd and Song Xun Da Zhong Ke Electronic (Shenzhen) Co. Ltd, both of whom are
Chinese phone manufacturers based in Shenzhen,
China, are
named in the case which is being handled by the Beijing No. 2 Intermediate
People's Court.
Nokia has also named the distributors of the mobile phones,
Beijing Tongwanbao Commerce & Trade Co. Ltd An Wai Avenue No. 2 Branch and
Beijing Xin Tongwanbao Commerce & Trade Co. Ltd, as co-defendants in the
case.
Nokia is seeking a Court order to cease manufacturing and
selling of the phones and monetary damages plus costs.
