Third generation mobile network provider, 3, has the latest
in Motorola V3x with a splash of colour.
Following on from its hot pink version, those looking for a
little more subtlety can now opt for a classy burnt orange.
The V3x is one of the nicer 3G phones on the market and was Winner
of the Best 3GSM handset at the 2006 3GSM awards.
This third generation version of the hugely successful 2G RAZR,
but a little lumpier to accommodate the bulked up 3G capabilities the V3x has a
comfortable form factor despite weighing in at 125g and being a little on the
thick side compared to 2G phones.
The camera is a 2 megapixel device with flash and 8x digital
zoom. The phone's 64MB internal memory is bolstered with TransFlash memory
cards up to 512MB.
Of course the phone has all the 3G goodies you would expect
like video calling, a big 2.2 inch (240 x 320) screen on the inside, but there's
also a display on the outside front.
Bluetooth, USB connectivity voice recognition dialling, MP3
player, access to 3G content services and email capabilities fit this phone out
for mobile essentials if not full business smartphone status.
3 is offering the burnt orange Motorola V3x at its 3 shops,
authorised dealers and online on postpaid plans. The phone is worth $449
outright or on a range of prepaid plans.
