Okay, so wireless TV may seem like a bit of an oxymoron at first, but your average idiot box still needs a wall socket to get its juice. This item may not be the first wireless TV you've come across, but the manufacturers, reckon it's the first waterproof wireless TV to hit the streets, err, pools.

The NU Wireless TV is actually "water resistant" so you won't be taking it scuba diving, but this 15.4 inch widescreen is ready to boldly go where no TV has gone before.

Powered by a Lithium Polymer rechargeable battery, the LCD is said to be good for about 2.5 hours viewing.nu_wirelesstv

This is not your regular TV though, rather than picking up analogue or digital terrestrial broadcast content, the device has its own transmitter, so you can send your DVD or TV content to wherever it suits you to watch, poolside, in the bath, maybe the kitchen, but probably not the beach.

The water and dust resistant casing protects the innards which includes an 802.11g receiver which receives a signal from an MPEG 2 video decoder and transmitter up to 30 meters away.

The transmitter also acts as a hub for various video and audio inputs from DVD players to set-top boxes.

Available now the set up will set you back $1699 RRP.
