This 3G phone may not have a bell or a whistle, but it certainly has a camera. In fact it's almost a phone camera rather than a camera phone.
sonyericsson1_k800iSony has loaned its CyberShot branding to this Sony Ericsson phone to point out the photo taking agility of the device.

At 3.2 megapixels, at the time of its release it is the highest megapixel rating 3G phone on the Australian market. It's not just pure grunt that set the camera capabilities apart though.

Autofocus, automatic Xenon flash and an image and video stabiliser to support the 16x digital zoom lens bring single function camera technologies to the mobile phone.

Using the BestPic technology, you can press the shutter once and capture nine shots in sequence. Pick the best. Delete the rest.

Add PictBridge support for easy printing and even integrated Picture Blogging (moblogging) sets the phone up to document your digital lifestyle.

3G Video calling is a feature, so the phone has an inward looking lens as well, but support for video extends beyond to include a function called Sound DJ which lets you add a music soundtrack to your recorded video.sonyericsson2_k800i

You won't miss out on all the basics either, the K800i has a built-in Stereo FM radio and MP3 Player, a modem to access the Internet via your laptop, plus it is stereo Bluetooth compatible so you can listen to your favourite music tracks wirelessly in stereo.

The screen is a 26k colour LCD at 240x320 pixels. Dedicated music and camera buttons make it easy to access those functions. A 64MB internal memory really needs the support for Memory Stick Micro if you are going to start using the camera and music functions.

Sony Ericsson have managed to package this into a reasonable form factor just 105 mm long by 47 mm wide, but a little thick at 22 mm. The phone weighs in at a healthy 115 grams.

Three has the phone listed at $539 outright or on two year contracts.
