Page 1 of 2 Like its twist and flip predecessor, the innovative N90,
Nokia's move to making devices more accurately described as multimedia devices
than cell phones is no better exemplified by the latest N93 handset.
Taking over top position as flagship of the Nokia Nseries range,
the Nokia N93 offers uncompromised digital camcorder, telephony and rich
internet functionality in a pocketable device.
Unfold and twist the main display, and the Nokia N93 becomes
a camcorder ready to shoot high quality video and photos, with its 3.2
megapixel camera.
Boasting quality Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar optics, a 3x
optical (20x digital) zoom and DVD-like video capture the N93 shoots MPEG-4 VGA
video at up to 30 frames per second with stereo audio.
Dedicated keys for shutter, zoom and flash take the fuss out
of becoming accustomed to your new camcorder/phone making sure you can start
recording your new digital life quick smart.
Image stabilisation takes the bumps and shakes out of the 2048
x 1536 pixel movies, while autofocus and close-up mode helps ensure clarity and
accuracy.
Once you've taken your footage you can connect it directly to
your TV for a widescreen movie experience, upload your images and video
directly from the handset to online albums or blogs, or even create
high-quality home movies and burn them to DVD.
The Nokia N93 offers advanced connectivity and editing
options within the phone or you can edit your footage on your PC by transferring
the footage and using the bundled copy of Adobe Premiere Elements 2.0 to personalise,
edit and save your video in regular PC/CE formats.
The Twist and Shoot form factor has four modes: imaging mode
for capture, view mode for watching your photos and footage, normal open mode
for talking and fold closed mode for carrying.
You would think that by the time Nokia crammed in all the
twist and flip, dedicated buttons, 50MB internal storage and miniSD card lost,
that this phone would be a bit of a brick.
