Looking for a business handset with up to 18 days (432
hours) standby time? The email-capable BlackBerry 7130v has it as well as a 4
hours talk time rating. Now although this will be network and location dependent
18 days standby is an impressive figure to quote on the sales brochure.

Powered by a medium weight Intel XScale processor and with 64
MB of memory, the 7130 should handle your mobile phone and email needs with
ease. The 120 gram device is styled in the newer BlackBerry way being much more
narrow than its more traditional brethren.
At 56mm wide, the 7120v's are a little long at 11.5mm, but
not at all thick at 18mm. Into this tidy package, BlackBerry maker, Research In
Motion (RIM) has packed a high-resolution 240x260 colour LCD display,
supporting over 65,000 colours and a qwerty-style keyboard with 20 keys.
The BlackBerry 7130v incorporates RIM's "SureType" keyboard
technology, which merges a phone keypad with QWERTY keyboard to allow a
narrower design and enable users to quickly and accurately type messages and
dial phone numbers.
Meanwhile, the display is controlled by an intelligent light
sensor system which adjusts the backlighting on the screen to provide the best
possible viewing experience whether you are indoors, outdoors in light or
shade.
Packed with the standard speakerphone SMS/MMS services, Polyphonic
and MP3 ring tones, smart dialling, conference calling, speed dial, call
forwarding this quad-band phone handset supports 850/900/1800/1900 MHz GSM/GPRS
taking you to destinations throughout North America, Europe and Asia Pacific.
Of course, 7130 is designed to be more than a phone. Capable
of wirelessly handling up to 10 push email accounts and with support for popular
document attachments this is a slim-lightweight business phone.
Support GPRS packet data speeds, the device will surf the
Net or using a cable to plug into your laptop you can use it as a wireless
modem when you're on the move, just about anywhere you are likely to go.
Speakerphone and Bluetooth capability for hands-free headsets
and car kits keep the phone flexible, while over the air synchronisation of the
integrated address book, calendar, memo pad and task list with a free download
of the BlackBerry Enterprise Server Express software keeps you up to date on
the road.
Priced at $699 the BlackBerry 7130v is not the prettiest handset
we've seen come out of Research In Motion, but the size of the display relative
to the size of the device and the exception battery performance all backed up
by push email, instant messaging support and GPRS modem capabilities make this
business phone well worth a look.
