Now in its 18th year, TargetBusters is the way laptop vendor
Toshiba recognises and rewards its distributors and resellers. More than 100 of
Toshiba's channel partners from Australia
and New Zealand attend this
year's awards ceremony which was conveniently held in Noumea, New Caledonia
earlier this week.
Themed ‘Moulin Rouge', the awards were granted during the gala awards dinner on
Saturday night. As well as the eight partner companies, nine individuals were
recognised for outstanding sales achievement and customer service over the last
12 months.
Sales Achiever of the Year awards, to Don Bath, Anton Maxwell, Matthew Sachse, Adrian
Youl, Mitchell Simpson, Julian Phuaand Vince Eggels.
Outstanding Achievement - Retail awards went to Albert
Zurzolo and Matt Hayler.
Business Partner of the Year awards went to Volante for the Northern Region and
Computelec for Southern Region. The Laptop Company (SI) was New Zealand Business
Partner of the Year.
Dick Smith Australia, and Leading
Edge Australia
were noted for their Retail Excellence, while Retailer of the Year for ANZ was Harvey
Norman Australia.
Ingram Micro was named Distributor of the Year and MobilePlus Reseller of Year was
Commander.
"Our channel partners have yet again been instrumental in helping us remain the
most popular mobile computing brand," said Mark Whittard, general manager
Toshiba ISD.
"It's an exciting time to be in our industry with notebook sales
representing the strongest growing category in IT. This result is largely due
to the hard work and education undertaken by our channel, and for that, we'd
like to say thanks and congratulations," he said.
