Turn your mobile phone into an encrypted data bank and carry your desktoparound with this little gadget that lets you add up to 8GB additional storage to your microSD capable phone.

icon_stikThis handy little device does more than add storage to your phone, it comes pre-loaded with software to add some interesting functionality that we'll get to later.

It might be a little clunky - the storage device actually sticks to the back of your phone - but with 8GB of storage, it compares pretty favourably to the maximum 1 or 2GB you'll manage to cram into your phone using the internal slot.

To install you open up your phone and insert one end of the device in your Transflash or microSD cardslot, shut your phone with the cable still sticking out and then stick the storage device to the back of your handset.

The Stik & Stor comes pre-loaded with award-winning synchronising software that allows users to sync critical data from their PC onto their mobile phone, ensuring redundant and secure access to desktop data from remote computers. The device is secured with 128 bit encryption.stikstor

In addition, the software also transfers typical desktop and e-mail settings keeping them organized in a way that is familiar to the user for zero downtime when accessing data on a host computer.

When you're finished using a borrowed computer, the software will keep all the work you've done on your cell phone, including your Internet history and cookies. No trace of your activity will be left behind on the borrowed computer.
