Spin Internet services is entering the iBurst market with
big download allowances that could force other resellers to adjust their plans.
"One of our new plans offers 20 times the data limit, twice
the speed and cost about the same as what other companies charge," said Peter
Steven's Director of Spin Internet Services.
The Sydney-based ISP is offering wireless plans starting at $24.95
for a 1Mbps casual plan that offers no data allowance - this plan charges 22 cents
per MB on usage.
For $49.95 sign up to the Deluxe Business plan and get 1GB download
at 1Mbps speeds. Go top shelf and pay $179.95 for a 20GB plan at 1Mbps.
Spin also has some interesting shaped plans rather than the
10 cents per MB over limit charges on the above plans.
For $59.95 you can get 1Mbps with 2GB data limit that shapes
to 56k if you use all your allocation. Another is a 5GB limit worth $89.95
There are some setup fees depending on the length of your
contract, sign up for two year and you not only avoid the setup charges, Spin
will throw the modem into the deal. Churn and they'll wave the setup too - that
oughta bug some competitors.
A Card or USB will set you back $259.95, while a desktop modem
is a hefty $289.95.
Bill McArthur, Marketing Manager of Spin Internet Services
said: "We didn't want to jump onboard too soon, now the iBurst network is
filled out so a client of ours in Melbourne
can visit most of the major capital cities and have true mobile broadband."
