Licensed wireless carrier, Wizz Communications, has seen its revenues jump significantly in the last six months of fiscal 2006 as the micro carrier's Wizz wholesale partners, SecureTelecom, Intrapower and Chilli Internet Solutions helped the company accelerate into July.

With an incremental revenue increase of 43 per cent between June and July, Wiz management were able to celebrate the fledgling outfit's first month of positive operating cash flow.

Wizz Director, Andrew Maclaren, said: "The positive results that we are experiencing are testimony to the strength of our business model."

Wizz provides wireless last mile access alternatives ranging in speed from 10Mbps to 1Gbps and boasts an Ethernet service which supports Quality of Service with a 99.95% availability guarantee.

"Wizz is building a solid reputation as a supplier of quality last mile access to the wholesale Telecommunications marketplace," said Maclaren. "Our key differentiators include our flexibility, reliability, and ability to deliver services rapidly.

"I believe that the support and loyalty that we are attracting from our existing and new wholesale partners is directly attributable to the ease of doing business with us. I do not think that there are many Telco carriers in the market place who could honestly say that they are easy to work with," he said.

"Combine this with a well structured engagement model, scaleable and focused wholesale only approach, an unbeatable value proposition, and the future is looking very positive for us and our partners."

The company currently has a total of 10 partners but there are plans in place to stretch this out to at least double. Then the challenge will be to boost subscriber numbers to new levels, with less than 50 high end SMEs and government departments currently on the books, the new partners will need to be signing up new customers.
