Acer has announced a
Vista-ready Media Center notebook priced at A$1,599 that doesn't skimp
on specifications to get the price down.
The Acer Aspire 5601WLMi has a 15.4"
WXGA widescreen CrystalBrite display and S/PDIF (Sony/Philips Digital
Interface) digital sound. the screen actually has a 16:10 ratio viewing area
that offers up to 30 per cent more screen than a standard 15" notebook.
Backed with Intel's UMA 950 128Mb
graphics and a full GB of DDR2 533 memory, the 5601WLMi comes standard with a
120Gb Hard Drive,Instant On/Off, integrated 5-in-1 card reader and
8x DVD Super Multi Double Layer.
The processor is an
Intel T2050 Dual Core Processor
(1.6Ghz, 2MB Cache, 533Mhz FSB).
All notebook functions can be
efficiently managed with Acer Empowering Technology, an intuitive interface that
gives users easy control over their notebook's security, performance, settings
and communication with a single touch of the Empowering Key.
The Aspire 5601WLMi is pre-loaded
with either Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition or Microsoft Windows
Professional Edition and is already Microsoft Windows Vista Premium
Ready.
