Weighing in at a healthy 99 grams and just 15.8mm thick, the
latest Windows Mobile 5.0 smartphone to hit the market is likely to flip your
switch.
The Dopod S301 has more memory, more power and better
software than its siblings, the 595 and 838Pro.
Boasting increased memory, significantly higher processing
power and packed with user-friendly features and superior functionality, the
S301 is one of the slimmest, deluxe flip Smartphones running Windows Mobile 5.0
in the market today.
Boasting 2.2-inch, 65K colour LCD, this flip phone is
quad-band GSM with Bluetooth v1.2 and is compatible with GPRS and EDGE data
standards.
"The S301 represents the perfect blend of form and
function. It exudes an irresistible appeal to discerning mobile users who value
advanced design, a svelte form factor and above all, exceptional
features," said Jack Tong, CEO, Dopod International Corp.
The company says the S301 has an innovative 3D-animated
interface and three-by-three grid arrangement of icons so it's uniquely styled and
easy to navigate.
A five-way navigational joystick gets you around the
interface, but if you just want to play music with the included Windows Media
Player 10 software, you can do that without opening the flip phone thanks to
the external music keys.
Available in Australia
from November 6, the S301 from Dopod International carries an RRP of $849.
"The S301 from Dopod International is an exciting
product for Australian consumers," commented Grace Kerrison, Director
Mobile Embedded Devices, Microsoft Australia.
"It offers all the flexibility and functionality that
Windows Mobile 5.0 devices have become know for in a slim, user friendly form
factor. This further reinforces the focus of Windows Mobile devices delivering
the best experience for the mobile professional either at work or play."
