It looks as though 3 Mobile's
coverage of the First Test was a success with the company serving up more than
270,000 live streams of the action.
The company's servers will be working over time today too,
with the start of the Second Test kicking off in Adelaide.
During the First Test at Brisbane's Gabba 3 Mobile customers accessed
more than 380,000 Ashes Series moments. These included live streams, video highlights, match
reviews, alerts, games, tones and more .
But the 270,000 live streams must give Mobile
content developers cause to take heart demonstrating that if content is
compelling enough, users are quite willing to use their handsets to access it.
During the 05/06 season customers had viewed over 500,000
live streams in total. With over 270,000 live streams already accessed in the
first 5 days, that high is set to be well and truly broken.
3 customers can get all the 3 mobile Ashes Series action for
$5 per month or A$1 a day.
