The latest flip
music phone from LG is the slimmest and sleekest handset to hit 3's shelves.

The model number is LGU830
and as always details are a little scarce. The phone is already available on 3 UK, so the
specifications are probably going to be the same here, but check.
The clamshell has a definite
RAZR look to it and is slim at 98x49x15mm. It weighs 95 grams, which is not too
bad for a mid-range 3G phone.
Slim form factor flip mobile
has an outer colour LCD screen and an internal 2.2-inch QVGA screen
The UK model is 3G HSDPA compatible, and
can be used as a wireless broadband modem to access the Internet using a laptop.
The phone supports email including
access to external POP3 mail and has a PIM (personal information manager), but
it is targeted more at the consumer market than business buyers.
The phone has a 2 megapixel
camera with video calling capability. The MP3 music player is backed up by a
healthy and a 180MB internal memory and dedicated touch sensitive music keys.
The U830 also supports Stereo Bluetooth so you can get wireless headphones as
well.
The battery is listed at 180
hours standby with a 2 hour talk time (118 minutes) video is even shorter at 83
minutes.
3 Mobile is making the LG U830 available for $16
per month on the $29 Cap with a $20 minimum monthly spend over 24 months. The phone
costs $598 upfront.
