BenQ has added a subwoofer to its latest widescreen Joybook, the A32. The 15.4 inch screen is backed by a 1.6Ghz Intel Pentium M 725.

The sound tracks for games and DVD movies will be enhanced by the innovative inclusion of a subwoofer and a bright widescreen (160nits).

Wireless connectivity is enhanced says the company by positioning the antenna in the top of the LCD. Other specs for the Joybook A32 include 512MB RAM standard, DVD +/- RW, 4-in-1 card reader and a 60GB HDD.

“Aside from the crisp, clear, bright images for which BenQ Joybooks are renowned, the Joybook A32 has speakers on both sides with the addition of a Subwoofer in the centre, providing a complete Audio/Visual experience” said Phil Newton, Managing Director.

“The Joybook A32 responds to customer demand for a range of options stretching from the more standard entry level Celeron model to a Centrino version with 60GB of Hard Drive, XP Pro and a built in DVD Recorder,” he said.
