The high price of high-def entertainment notebooks has allowed Fujitsu PC Australia to target a new LifeBook notebook squarely into the serious entertainment, gaming and power users.
Fujitsu PC Australia notebooks are usually priced well above the likely consumer market price range and more likely to be bought up by corporate users that small business buyers or people looking for a notebook for the home.

But with top end entertainment notebooks regularly commanding high prices these days the A$4999 recommended retail price of the LifeBook N6420 doesn't look as much out of place as Fujitsu's usual price tags.

The 17-inch LifeBook N6420 has a Colour Enhanced Crystal View Display with the new Fujitsu Visual Optimizer, which is a special image processing subsystem that amplifies video for  sharpness and colour.

The company also claims the speaker system in the notebook it exemplary - "turn up the volume and hear the amazing juxtaposition of sounds emerge from two impressive internal speakers and a powerful subwoofer" sayas the announcement.

With dual hard disks with a combined 400GB storage is said to be the largest capacity in the industry for a standard fitout and the Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 2GB DDR2 RAM and ATI MOBILITY RADEON X1600 with  512MB Hypermemory and HD DVD drive offer performance expected from an entertainment PC and ramp up the weightof this device to nearly 5kg.

The LifeBook N6420 is Windows Vista ready and comes pre-loaded with the Home Premium Edition.
