A boutique electronics manufacturer in Sydney's inner west has begun manufacturing a ruggedised notebook adaptor range designed for people on the move.
"With the rapidly increasing number of field notebook users and road
warriors opting for ruggedised machines from the likes of Panasonic and
Twinhead, we have responded to demand and produced several models that
exactly match the electrical specifications required by the notebook to
keep you powered in all conditions," said David Radel, Director of sales and marketing for DAPro.
"Although we don't recommend it,
you can physically run over a DC8 with a car without fear of damaging
it - these adaptors have been designed for field use and are seriously
tough," he said.
The company's newly released "Auto Air" adaptor is designed to
compliment the ruggedised notebook offerings from manufactures such as
Panasonic and Twinhead. Equipped with a universal plug and a car
cigarette lighter adaptor, the DC8 has an input voltage range from
10-35 volts DC, making it a
suitable solution for automotive, heavy industry, marine and certain
aviation applications.
"We have also designed these to be as small as possible, their tiny
footprint will take very little space in your luggage" added Radel.
Compatibility is provided for most notebook makes and models
including
dedicated solutions for Toshiba, Panasonic, HP, Acer and Twinhead the
adaptors carry a RRP of A$179 and are available online through.
