Nokia announced new phones for distinct markets with the high-design L'Amour Collection heading the the US and other CDMA customes, while the Nokia 5700 Music smartphone has its own dedicated audio chip to the audiophile performance, finally the EUR100 Nokia 5070 is an accessible phone for the younger owner.
Nokia 7088 L'Amour Collection
Nokia is hoping the ladies will
just love the Nokia 7088 part of the company's L'Amour Collection that
brings an "indulgent palate of colors and textures" to this slider
handset with just a touch of subtle pink.
The Nokia 7088 is the
first CDMA model in the L'Amour Collection and it is the first time the
collection gets a slider phone. "The Nokia 7088 makes a striking first
impression," says the company, "with attention drawn immediately to its
jewel-like select key and carefully sculpted directional pad set into a
metallic frame. Bold leather-inspired textures are found on front and
back surfaces of the Nokia 7088, enhancing the tactile experience, and
further accentuating the artful balance between technology and nature
that is the hallmark of the L'Amour Collection's design ethos."
The
Nokia 7088 is expected to be available in selected markets in
Asia/Pacific, Middle East, Africa, China and Latin America during the
2nd quarter of 2007.
Nokia 5700 XpressMusic
Unashamedly
youthful, this affordable 3G smartphone is a phone with a twist. Apart
from the dedicated on-board music processing capabilities, the phone is
designed to easily switch between its four main modes - music player,
camera, video call and smartphone.
Expected to retail for an
estimated EUR 350 before taxes and subsidies and available this
quarter, the Nokia 5700 XpressMusic supports a 2GB MicroSD card that
can store up to 1500 tracks. The 2 megapixel camera and vibrant dispaly
with up to 16 million colors supports exceptional video playback.
This
is the ideal camera for operators to bundle with music subscriptions as
it has support for wireless stereo headphones using Bluetooth and can
download songs and stream content quickly thanks to its 3G capabilities.
Nokia 5070 
Designed
with the needs of young consumers in mind, the newly announced Nokia
5070 has a social networking feel to its feature set.
Strong on
messaging and personalization, the 5070 has everything that the mobile
social set needs, bringing all its messaging features to the forefront
so you can connect via text, voice and images with just a few
keystrokes.
The Nokia 5070 will be available in the second
quarter of 2007 with an estimated retail price of EUR 100 excluding
taxes and subsidies.
The phone has an integrated FM radio and
includes a wired stereo headset in the retail sales package.
Pre-installed java games, such as the widely popular Sudoku, a built in
web browser and personalisation such as support for MP3 ringtones,
wallpapers and themes are other standout features. With a talk time up
to 3.5 hours and the standby time is up to 12 days, the 5070 is
available in red or blue.
