Fairfax Digital automotive site Drive.com.au is now mobilised and ready
for access over your mobile phone. You can search the site's listings
call dealers and even get car listings sent directly to you.
As well as being able to search the tens of thousands of motoring
listings, you can also view motoring information including car
comparisons, reviews and news features, all customised for viewing on
mobile handsets.
Drive's
General Manager, Julie Coffey said that it makes sense to be able to
access car sales information from your mobile phone. "Car buyers and
sellers will all benefit from easier and faster access to car related
information," she said.
"We've
designed the service so that it adapts itself to whatever mobile phone
it is being displayed on. The new service even allows you to call
dealers directly from your mobile and send car listings to friends".
"Drive
Mobile is our next step towards making the searching process quicker
and easier than weekends wasted driving from one side of town to the
other. We're excited to be leading the automotive industry into the
future of providing listings and content conveniently to car buyers
anywhere, anytime."
The new mobile features of the site are backed by a
relationship with Toyota Australia which is the first manufacturer to
partner with Drive Mobile. Toyota's
Manager for National Retail Advertising, Tony Pepper said: "We've
eagerly awaited the arrival of a service like this, so we wanted to be
part of Drive Mobile from the beginning. Just as car technology is
moving forwards in leaps and bounds, so is the technology people use to
search for their next car purchase.
You can access the mobile site by first going to www.drive.com.au and
getting them to send you a link direct to you mobile phone.
