Motorola today introduced two new MOTO Q products: the MOTO Q 8, the GSM version of the original award-winning CDMA-based MOTO Q, as well as the flagship, lightening-fast global quad-band 3G QWERTY, MOTO Q 9, which is available in Italy this week.
When the rest of the 3G world gets access to the the new sleek form factor of the MOTO Q 9, they will also get the Windows Mobile 6 operating system coupled with Quad-band connectivity putting them on GPRS/EDGE only when a fast broadband 3G network isn't available.

Though you are unlikely to actually download at the theoretical sped limit of 3.6MB per second, the MOTO Q 9 is going to connect fast enough to make email, music downloads and Web surfing fast enough that you won't even think about it.

The MOTO Q is Motorola's latest attempt to tackle the dominance of Research in Motion in the mobile email market and comes equipped with push email for immediate send and receive on corporate Microsoft Exchange mail systems.

The high-speed broadband capabilities also mean faster Internet browsing, high-speed music downloads, video downloads and the ability to send at much higher than normal 3G.
