Australia's first online and mobile concert will stream live and exclusive onto Telstra Next G and 3G mobiles on 4 June.
The online Missy Higgins performance comes directly after Missy's highly acclaimed 'On a Clear
Night' national tour and will be web and mobilecast nationally from The
Basement in Sydney on 4 June at 7.30pm AEST.
BigPond Group
Managing Director, Justin Milne, said it was a double bonus that
this entertainment first was to feature one of the country's top female
performers.
"Missy's tickets are some of the hottest and hardest
to get hold of in the country, so BigPond's simultaneous webcast and
mobilecast is the ideal way for fans to ensure they don't miss a song,"
said Milne.
"This also demonstrates the enormous potential for
mobile and online delivery to dramatically increase audiences and
exposure for Australian artists."
The concert is available to all
broadband users at www.bigpond.com and via BigPond Music on Telstra
Next G and 3G mobiles. There is a $1 subscription charge for the live
mobile stream. The concert will be unmetered for most BigPond Broadband
Members. After the event, the concert will also be available online and
on mobiles 'on demand'.
Missy's #1 album, On A Clear
Night, has sold more than 150,000 copies since its release earlier this
month. The new album is available for download from BigPond Music for
$15.00 for BigPond Members and $16.50 for non-members plus download
charges.
Missy Higgins tracks and ring tones can also be downloaded
from BigPond Mobile.
